Our experienced ZISHI trainers all possess a deep level of combined experience in investing and trading, while being highly skilled when it comes to training individuals in the art and science of trading global markets.
Each bespoke training combines theory and practice to meet a clients’ specific goals. This may include risk management, compliance, software and systems, proprietary trading, options market-making and/or clearing operations.
The time frame is flexible to the individual company’s needs and bespoke trainings can be provided in any of OSTC’s global hubs or location that suits the client. Previous venues for in-house training include China, India, Russia and Australia.
Whether it’s for manufacturing and processing industries, or consumer brands who interact with markets on a daily basis, our consultants deliver a comprehensive level of knowledge and understanding of the issues at hand. As part of each consultancy, our specialists may also offer detailed feedback on a client’s current proposals as well as areas for improvement.
Consultancy is usually offered to companies that have previously taken part in other ZISHI workshops or trainings. The consultancy may then be offered as a progress check on how clients should implement any action steps from previous trainings, while collaborating together to develop an organised, structured approach to managing price risk.

Keith’s first foray into the world of trading was a back-office role for German Investment Bank Helaba followed by Trade Support at Credit Suisse. From the start, he knew he wanted the front office experience. So he took a leap of faith, and remortgaged his home to start trading his own account when OSTC was still Trading Connections back in 2000.
Gradually, he moved away from trading his own account to working with a group of traders under the (by now) OSTC model. More recently, Keith has moved into the eLearning division of the business. He now helps head up ZISHI – something he feels proud to be involved with as part of OSTC’s diversifying portfolio of brands.
Simon runs ZISHI training workshops, plus consultancy and coaching projects. He has trained delegates from many of the world’s top industrial and manufacturing companies and is particularly skilled in explaining complex strategies in a simple manner. Simon was a derivatives trader for many years and his experience of risk-averse trading has been of particular value to audiences and clients around the globe. He favours a blended approach to education, using a mixture of classroom lessons and digital solutions.
Bill worked at a hedge fund from 2008 to 2010 and has trading experience of all asset classes, including equities, fixed income and commodities. He’s also the author of ‘Equity and Index Options Explained’. When asked what he feels the biggest shift is in learning over the past 10 years, Bill says, “a move towards using a blended (digital and physical face-to-face) methodology, something Simon and I deliver to great effect in all our trading trainings, masterclasses and coaching programmes.”

Highly experienced in all aspects of metal business, Paul brings with him a wealth of experience in futures and options, and also as an expert witness in a number of litigations and arbitrations. A member of the LME Clear Board Risk Committee, Paul has been an elected member of the LME Board as well as chairman of the LME Traded Options Committee for a number of years. Within ZISHI’s educational framework, Paul works with Co-Head of Metals Lesley Campbell to facilitate interactive courses that upskill new and existing traders in the core realities – and complexities – of commodity trading.
Having advised financial institutions like the World Bank and London Metal Exchange, Lesley’s extensive metal market experience has particular emphasis in physical metal hedging, pricing and warehousing. A non-executive director of a number of companies as well as consulting for top financial institutions in Singapore and Hong Kong, Lesley works with Co-Head of Metals Paul Shuman to train new candidates in the fundamentals of trading. Through a blend of ZISHI’s educational tools and courses plus hands-on, applied learning, Lesley provides candidates with the strategies needed to find an edge.
Jon holds a wealth of trading experience dating back to the mid-1980s, starting out at BNP and JP Morgan before becoming an independent trader on London’s LIFFE exchange. After the closure of ‘the pits’, Jon made a successful transition to electronic trading where he adapted his style to suit the new format of trading. Most of his career has been spent trading Government Bond Futures and Equity Indices, while in recent years his speciality has shifted over into STIR products.
For the last decade, Jon has become more and more involved with trader education, writing courses, webinars and presentations. He particularly enjoys educating new traders and helping them navigate the path from novice to self- sustained trader. This fits very well with the philosophy of ZISHI and bringing access to trading to all members of the community.
