Mentoring
OSTC will fast-forward career progression for talented candidates.
Typically a trader will be allocated one or two junior traders to mentor and manage. Mentors are given training and feedback and we can quickly assess the effect of mentoring on trading profits.
Senior traders are encouraged to mentor junior traders as soon as they have proved their own ability to trade. This extra layer of development helps both parties focus on key areas of trading including both the technical and the mental side.
This technique serves to stretch the boundaries of a mentor's own ability and helps to cement their own experience and knowledge, as well as obviously benefitting the mentee. After all, sometimes the best way to learn is to teach.
